PA258 Ecclesiastes 7:21-9:6 mp3

In this message, the Qoheleth encourages us not to take to heart everything we overhear others say about us. He ponders women, and says he has not found one among a thousand. What did he mean by this? He speaks of the power of the king. Though a righteous man dies for being righteous and a wicked man lives longer because of his wickedness, still he insists that it will be well with the righteous man. The best thing in life is to enjoy the good things you have and take pleasure in your labor. It is better to be a live dog than a dead lion, since the dead know nothing. This passage provokes the hatred of most traditionalists, but is it right to reject the truth of Ecclesiastes because one does not like this passage?
